Advanced Esthetician Program Overview

Our Advanced Esthetician course prepares our graduates to become entry-level licensed Advanced Estheticians. The curriculum covers numerous topics in skin care, makeup application, facials, massage, and other important skills required of new skincare professionals. In addition, we prepare our grads with business and salon management skills, including hiring new employees, payroll taxes, and other practical considerations for beauty pros who want to launch or manage their own businesses.

We consider our Advanced Esthetician program “total spa skills training” that will serve you well in your new career and as you continue to progress in your skincare career. The Advanced Esthetician curriculum includes:

  • Basic skincare procedures and practices: basic facials, massage, masks, chemical peels, and selecting products
  • Skin science and anatomy: skin analysis, physiology of the skin, understanding chemistry as it relates to skincare products and ingredients
  • Makeup application, products, and color theory, including brow tinting
  • Operating facial machines and other specialized equipment
  • Hair removal
  • Lash extensions
  • Health and safety: Sanitation and sterilization practices, disease and infection control, and consumer and product safety
  • Laws and regulations: Ohio statutes and administrative rules, licensing continuing education requirements, and passing inspections
  • Salon operations: communication skills in the salon workplace, career development, sales training, and advanced salon management topics such as supervision and management of employees

Our goal is to empower graduates with the skills and confidence needed to excel as licensed Advanced Estheticians through the board licensing exam. Beyond preparing you to pass the state boards, our esthetician program provides you with the hands-on experience essential to thrive in any spa or skincare environment. You’ll gain practical knowledge not only in advanced skincare techniques but also in the business skills necessary for success, whether in a spa setting or as an independent professional. We are here to support your journey towards a rewarding career, equipping you with real-world experience and the tools to be your own boss if you choose!
